Easy Draw: AR Tracing & Sketch is an app that helps users, particularly beginners, learn to draw by utilizing augmented reality. It transforms your phone’s camera into a smart guide, allowing you to project images onto physical paper. This enables you to trace, sketch, and draw outlines directly, providing a straightforward method to practice and create artwork without requiring prior drawing skills. The app supports tracing from a diverse library of templates or by importing your own photos to use as a basis for your drawings.
AR-Guided Tracing on Paper
The app’s core functionality involves tracing images directly onto physical paper using your device’s AR camera. To begin, you position your phone above a sheet of paper. You then select an image, either from the app’s template library or by importing one from your personal gallery. The app overlays this chosen image onto your view of the paper through the camera feed. Before you start drawing, you can adjust the image’s opacity, size, and position to fit your paper and artistic preferences. This setup allows you to trace the outlines line by line on the paper below, providing a guided approach to creating your drawing.
Diverse Source Material for Tracing
Easy Draw offers a broad template library covering various categories, including anime, cartoons, animals, vehicles, and everyday objects, providing ample options for practice. Beyond the pre-loaded templates, the app supports importing photos directly from your personal gallery. This feature allows you to convert your own pictures or even real-world objects, captured through the camera, into clean outlines suitable for tracing. After tracing, you can complete your drawing and add your personal artistic style. The app also includes functionality to save your finished drawings and easily share your artwork.
